Donor embryos are created by combining an egg from a donor with sperm from a donor.
Embryos are prepared as part of the donor egg and donor sperm programme.
We are able to plan the treatment well in terms of timing and adapt the embryo transfer to the recipient's readiness. For treatment, we use embryos created from cells of carefully examined donors.
As part of the programme, we offer Fresh donor embryo transfer and FET of a donor embryo
The embryo is transferred after donor eggs have been fertilised with donor sperm and subsequently cultured in the laboratory for five days.
The transfer takes place after a previously frozen donor embryo has been thawed.
When selecting both the egg donor and sperm donor, we aim for the closest possible resemblance to the treated couple.
Thanks to our own database of egg donors and sperm donors, we can start treatment without a long waiting period.
Egg donors are healthy women aged 18–34. Sperm donors are healthy men aged 18–35. Each donor undergoes a thorough medical and genetic examination.
For egg donors, the examination also includes a gynaecological and ultrasound examination.
The donor embryo programme is carried out in accordance with Czech legislation and European standards for working with human tissues and cells. Donation is anonymous and voluntary, and the entire process is subject to strict quality and safety rules. The identities of the donors, recipients and child are protected.
